1532nm DFB BTF Laser Diode with center wavelength
1532.68nm (ITU CH56), optical output power 10mW. Built-in TEC and thermistor
enable stable operation. During operation, connect correctly according to the

--BTF (Butterfly) package is the standard 14-pin butterfly package,
the most mainstream industrial- grade packaging format in the optoelectronics
industry. This package integrates the laser chip, TEC temperature control,
thermistor, and photodiode, offering excellent hermeticity and thermal
management performance. There is no essential difference from standard
butterfly packaging;“BTF”is commonly used as an abbreviation for“Butterfly”in product
naming.
(2) What drive modes does this product support?
--1532nm DFB BTF Laser Diode supports continuous wave (CW)
operation. A low-noise constant current source is recommended (threshold
current approximately 5-20mA, operating current 50-90mA), along with a TEC
controller for temperature stabilization (typically set at 25℃).
(3) Is sample testing available?
--Sample testing and small-volume trial production are supported.

Operation
Notes
● When operating, this device emits a high-intensity laser beam; do
not look directly into the fiber end face, as doing so may cause eye injury.
● This device is electrostatic-sensitive; therefore, strict adherence
to anti-static protection measures is required during packaging,
transportation, and usage. Additionally, precautions must be taken to prevent
power supply surges, as failure to do so may result in permanent damage to the
device (e.g., ensuring proper equipment grounding and wearing an anti-static
wrist strap).
● Optical fibers are fragile; do not use the fiber to pull the device.
When inserting or removing a device from its socket, do not apply pressure to
or pull on the sleeve located at the rear of the device housing. For devices
equipped with connectors, ensure that both the device and the fiber connector
are lifted simultaneously during installation or removal.
● Before powering up all components, first activate the cooler, and
then proceed with incremental power-up steps to prevent chip overheating and
overload.
● During the power-up process, never apply a high current directly, as
this risks damaging the chip. Instead, power up the device at a current level
close to the chip's threshold, and then gradually increase the current in small
increments until the desired level is reached.

● Warranty Period:
Free repair or replacement for non-human-induced defects within 1
year from purchase. Paid maintenance services available after 1 year.
● Exclusions from Free Warranty:
During the free warranty period, free repair or replacement services
will be provided for faults caused by product quality issues. However, Box
Optronics retains the right to refuse free repair services in the following
cases within the warranty period:
(1) Damage caused by natural factors (e.g., lightning, dust) or
environmental influences.
(2) Malfunctions due to improper operation by the user.
(3) Obvious physical damage caused by human error.
(4) Unauthorized disassembly, modification, or repair.
(5) Altered or incomplete warranty labels on the housing.
(6) Damage or loss during transportation.
