High-power 1653.7nm 40mW DFB Butterfly Laser utilizes a high-performance MQW DFB chip with a center wavelength of 1653.7nm, a wavelength tolerance of +/-1nm, and a side-mode rejection ratio (SMSR) >35dB. It features low threshold voltage, low power consumption, and high reliability. Integrating a thermistor, thermoelectric cooler (TEC), and monitoring diode, it supports long-term stable operation and is widely used in gas detection systems, passive device testing, and fiber optic sensing. Proper wiring, temperature and current control are required during operation to prevent fiber bending and damage.

Operation Notes

● Optical fibers are fragile; do not use the fiber to pull the device. When inserting or removing a device from its socket, do not apply pressure to or pull on the sleeve located at the rear of the device housing. For devices equipped with connectors, ensure that both the device and the fiber connector are lifted simultaneously during installation or removal.

● If the pins require soldering, the soldering temperature must not exceed 260°C, and the soldering time must not exceed 10 seconds. Particular attention must be paid to the following: during the soldering process, the device must be in an unpowered state, and the soldering iron must be properly grounded.

● Before powering up the device, first activate the cooler, and then apply power in small increments to prevent the chip from overheating or becoming overloaded.


Quality Assurance and After-Sales Service

● Warranty Period:

Free repair or replacement for non-human-induced defects within 1 year from purchase. Paid maintenance services available after 1 year.

● Exclusions from Free Warranty:

During the free warranty period, free repair or replacement services will be provided for faults caused by product quality issues. However, Box Optronics retains the right to refuse free repair services in the following cases within the warranty period:

(1) Damage caused by natural factors (e.g., lightning, dust) or environmental influences.

(2) Malfunctions due to improper operation by the user.

(3) Obvious physical damage caused by human error.

(4) Unauthorized disassembly, modification, or repair.

(5) Altered or incomplete warranty labels on the housing.

(6) Damage or loss during transportation.
