Product Introduction


This is a 785nm FP Butterfly Laser Diode, featuring up to 30mW output power. Fiber type can be SM785-HP or PM780-HP, and integrates TEC, monitor photodiode, and thermistor. The 900um protective tube and FC/APC connector are optional. If the pins require soldering, the soldering temperature must not exceed 260°C, and the soldering time must not exceed 10 seconds. A Module/Benchtop package with a driver circuit, 50mW output power, is available.

If you have a DHL/ UPS/ FedEx account, Box Optronics suggest using the EXW. We ship via your account; we don't charge the shipping cost.

Operation Notes


● Laser Radiation Hazard:When the device is in operation, it emits a high-intensity laser beam. Do not look directly at the fiber end-face, as this may cause eye injury.

● ESD Protection:This device is electrostatic-sensitive. Therefore, strict anti-static protection measures must be adhered to during packaging, transportation, and use. Additionally, precautions should be taken to prevent power-supply surges, as failure to do so may result in permanent damage to the device (e.g., ensure proper equipment grounding and wear an anti-static wrist strap).

● Fiber and Device Handling:Optical fibers are fragile. Do not pull the device using the fiber. When inserting or removing the device from its socket, do not apply pressure to or pull on the sleeve at the rear of the device housing. For devices equipped with connectors, ensure that both the device and the fiber connector are lifted simultaneously during installation or removal.

● Pin Soldering Requirements:If the pins need to be soldered, the soldering temperature must not exceed 260°C, and the soldering time must not exceed 10 seconds. Pay particular attention to the following: during the soldering process, the device must be in an unpowered state, and the soldering iron must be properly grounded.

● Power-up Operation:During the power-up process, never apply a high current directly, as this may damage the chip. Instead, power up the device at a current level close to the chip's threshold, and then gradually increase the current in small increments until the desired level is reached.

● Cooling and Power-up Sequence:Before powering up all components, first activate the cooler, and then proceed with incremental power - up steps to prevent chip overheating and overload.


Quality Assurance and After-Sales Service


● Warranty Period:

Free repair or replacement for non-human-induced defects within 1 year from purchase. Paid maintenance services available after 1 year.

● Exclusions from Free Warranty:

During the free warranty period, free repair or replacement services will be provided for faults caused by product quality issues. However, Box Optronics retains the right to refuse free repair services in the following cases within the warranty period:

(1) Damage caused by natural factors (e.g., lightning, dust) or environmental influences.

(2) Malfunctions due to improper operation by the user.

(3) Obvious physical damage caused by human error.

(4) Unauthorized disassembly, modification, or repair.

(5) Altered or incomplete warranty labels on the housing.

(6) Damage or loss during transportation.
