Product Introduction


This is a 660nm FP Butterfly Laser Diode with a 14-pin butterfly package. It's a Fabry-Perot Laser Diode. It features up to 30mW output power and a built-in TEC and thermistor. Fiber type can be SM630-HP fiber. Module/Benchtop package with a driver circuit is optional. Optical fibers are fragile; do not pull on components using the fiber.

Operation Notes


● When operating, this device emits a high-intensity laser beam; do not look directly into the fiber end face, as doing so may cause eye injury.

● This device is electrostatic-sensitive; therefore, strict adherence to anti-static protection measures is required during packaging, transportation, and usage. Additionally, precautions must be taken to prevent power supply surges, as failure to do so may result in permanent damage to the device (e.g., ensuring proper equipment grounding and wearing an anti-static wrist strap).

● Verify the stability of the product's operating circuit to prevent damage caused by pulse currents.

● When using the device, strictly adhere to the operating voltage and current ranges specified in the datasheet. Key parameters—including Ith (Threshold Current), Iop max (Maximum Operating Current), Vop max (Maximum Operating Voltage), and λc (Center Wavelength)—should be referenced specifically in the test report provided at the time of shipment. Note: Operation beyond the absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to the device.

● If the pins require soldering, the soldering temperature must not exceed 260°C, and the soldering time must not exceed 10 seconds. Particular attention must be paid to the following: during the soldering process, the device must be in an unpowered state, and the soldering iron must be properly grounded.


Quality Assurance and After-Sales Service


● Warranty Period:

Free repair or replacement for non-human-induced defects within 1 year from purchase. Paid maintenance services available after 1 year.

● Exclusions from Free Warranty:

During the free warranty period, free repair or replacement services will be provided for faults caused by product quality issues. However, Box Optronics retains the right to refuse free repair services in the following cases within the warranty period:

(1) Damage caused by natural factors (e.g., lightning, dust) or environmental influences.

(2) Malfunctions due to improper operation by the user.

(3) Obvious physical damage caused by human error.

(4) Unauthorized disassembly, modification, or repair.

(5) Altered or incomplete warranty labels on the housing.

(6) Damage or loss during transportation.
