Box Optronics is a professional manufacturer of 2~16 Multi-channel DFB Laser Sources. They offer both CWDM wavelengths and DWDM ITU channel wavelengths. These sources can be used for wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) devices, waveguide grating array (AWG) components, planar waveguide (PLC) components, optical amplifiers (EDFA), and other general fiber optic measurements and applications, especially for batch production testing of couplers and planar waveguide PLC components.

Product Introduction-Multi-channel DFB Laser Source


This is a Multi-channel DFB Laser Source featuring freely configurable wavelengths and continuous-wave (CW) operation. Available wavelength options include CWDM (1270~1650 nm), DWDM ITU channels 18~64, LAN-WDM wavelengths, as well as specific wavelengths such as 1030 nm and 1064 nm. The product is available in two configurations: a standalone desktop unit or an integrable modular option; equipped with communication interfaces and monitoring software. Users may choose between a fixed output power or a power-adjustable configuration. This Multi-channel DFB Laser Source supports operation as a single-channel light source or simultaneous output across multiple channels.

Operation Steps-Multi-channel DFB Laser Source


Step1. Unpacking: Before assembly, check whether all accessories are complete.

 

Step2. Power supply: Connected to a DC switching power supply or a regulated power supply that meets their power supply requirements. Use only the original matched power adapter (DC5V or DC12V). Improper power adapters may damage the light source. (Power adapter supplied according to local voltage standards.)

 

Step3. Connecting output fiber: Open the dust cap at the fiber connector or flange, check the fiber end face, and connect the fiber or splice the fiber to the device or power meter to be tested after confirming that there is no pollution and damage.

 

Setp4. Connect to the host computer: Use the USB-RS485 DB9 Data Cable to connect theMulti-channel DFB Laser Source and the computer; the computer must first install a dedicated serial port driver to identify the serial port data cable, otherwise the host computer software and the light source module cannot be correctly connected and communicated. Please ask Box Optronics for the driver.

 

Step5. Control software: Box Optronics provides the serial command or PC software to control the LD current and LD temperature of the Multi-channel DFB Laser Source. Choose the correct port, set the current and temperature, then click the open button. (To prevent damage, ramp up the drive current slowly at initial operation. Do not apply full current immediately.)
